Elder Swallow is #Fiji Bound

This Week was a very good week on my island. we had heaps of fun and inspiring things happen. It all started with Elain. Elain is a 21 year old Kai loma. Kai loma means that her blood is so mixed you can't really tell her nationality. She lives with a member so we have been working with her for a bit. She is way cool but she never ever reads the scriptures... way frustrating. However I am the son of the two best teachers I've met so knew what to do. I gave he homework. It wasn't enough for Elain to just read. So I told her to read and then summarize.. she was taken back at first. A little upset for the treatment as a small child. so she took the challenge out of spite! and we came on thursday to check. The first question was did you read?she however said no...I was sad. but... she then came back with a book and said  "boom suck it!" it was a weird thing but I was so hyped... slowly slowly moves the oxen but toward zion she does dr...

This was a very good week in navua. There was some stress for a little bit. Due to some sickness. We had a member of our district have some medical problems so, because i'm the district leader we were a trio this week. It was a lot of fun.  We had interviews with president his week and he challenged me to listen to the spirit while also in lessons, instead of just finding situations. So in a lesson on Thursday we were teaching by the spirit. we had just found this lady named lusi. She really likes the fact that the spirit can be with her always. So even though it was early and i didnt know if she really understood. I asked the question if she wanted the spirit with her, and she obviously did, and I asked a follow up of how do you receive this gift? Luckily she said ONLY through baptism. I felt the spirit very strong, and challenged her to be baptized. She said she would. Then proceeded  to say that God was happy and I felt i...

This new year was a good one on this side of the word i hope it was good for all of you as well. we had so much good happen. ill just share a couple.  On Sunday we got a call and it was a very ready investigator( meaning she is about to get baptized). she called and said sorry elda tilo im not going to be able to come to church. However I knew she was lying. so i called her bluff. And she came to church with a couple little miracles.  she told me after how did you know. and the only thing I could think to say was I didn't know God knew and I'm his missionary. and that was a deep feeling that God is truly using me and my companion to bless these people! the second really good thing also happened on sunday.  I promise we worked all week. On Sunday we had a lesson with a fijian family and they were hesitant. but once we spoke fijian and the spirit came in. They readily accepted the BoM and said they would ready it. Sorry i'm Never good enough but i'm certainly am trying and I love all of you very much! I hope you know that. so in an effort to start fresh. Here we go. to those not on this email please share to them.  "I love _____ because..." Dad-with out you pops i wouldn't be here. not only physically but spiritually. I know that i never picked up a bucket or filled the chicken water. But you taught me how to work. And that not only blessings me but also the whole of Fiji! This week was a way wack week!  Merry Christmas, first off and second this week was super quick. we had heaps of food on Christmas and no contact. Meaning we need a good idea. and luckily my companion elda smith had a ton of Jesus pictures. so we went and visited every member of the ward and gave them a Jesus picture and a book of Mormon to give out before the new year. and it was so beneficial and way good to earn the trust of the members.  Pics 1. making Christmas cookies! 2.
