Rabi Island People and Animal Photos

Image
These are the photos we got of the people and animals that Elder Swallow met on the island. I don't know the names of the people but I know the dog is named Teresa, because she was a good mother and protected Tommy. The kitten is Kendra! I'm not surprised that adopting animals is how he deals with his homesickness!!  This last one is from Elder Swallow's cousin Sister Kaylee Judy. They were switching areas and saw each other at the airport on transfer day:)

Nawaka Airport Elder

Bula Vinaka, I just wanted to update all of my fans on the latest happenings to the elder swallow. I just want all of you to know. I am no longer on Rabi!!!!!!!!!!  I was born on Rabi, meaning this is my first transfer. I am now working in Nawaka area, Airport Elder, meaning my companion and I get to work in the airport. Any missionary with a flight has to go though us.  My new area is way sick, the only problem is the language. For the past 6 months I've been speaking Kiribati and now I'm back to the Original, Fijian. This is where Heavenly Father will have to step in. Fingers crossed gift of tongues is coming soon.  My new companion is Elder Park. He is the best elder in Fijian so here's to the next three months.  It was hard to say goodbye to Rabi. Especially my dog, but I'm home now. I love you all. My new area is basically America so I feel right at home. I just don't understand anything

6 Months a Missionary

Its official that I have been a missionary for 6 months. Well, technically its been almost 7 months but who cares I'm on Rabi so time is nothing to me. It's been a good couple of weeks. We've been working cause what else is there to do on a tiny island. It's been going great with Elder Hae Hae. He's going to be the best elder in the FSM (Fiji Suva Mission) in Kirabati. So fingers crossed for a transfer.  To every one who reads my mom's blog and saw our top 10 for 2018. I just want to say you're welcome for numbers 1, 5, 7, 9, and 10.  http://ktswallow.blogspot.com/2019/01/top-ten-of-2018.html   It's not a big deal,  but to me it's pretty lit. I haven't been number one my whole life so it's a good change! The only bad part is I will be in Fiji for 2019 so 2020 top ten here I come!  When we came back to Rabi there was a little 8 year old from Kirabati who needed to be baptized and we taught her and then Saturday I baptized her. She ...
