1 Year Down.

Image
This is the weirdest and most humbling experience looking back on the past year and see how much I've grown not physically, but in the spiritual sense. Which is the way that the mission works.  Over this past year I've had to humble myself again and again before the lord. And I still fall "short" all the time( it's only OK for me to say it). It is crazy to think that this time last year I was eating olive garden and scared out of my mind to go to Provo... man how the times have changed.  I've been through fire and challenges just to come out a more humble tool in the masters hands. There have been countless lessons I have learned this past year but one stand out above all the rest! Is what i want to share with all of you today! That our heavenly father loves us! And he is not only in charge of all the world but our lives as well! its crazy to think that he knows us perfectly! but i stand as a witness that he does! that's the message that i want to ...

Good week, blessing of being talkative as.

This was a really good week we had lots of good things going on. There was lots to do this week. I found out some good spiritual gifts that were hidden and have never seen before.  Namely being the most talkative person this side of the Mississippi. I know all of you are surprised by this information, of me being talkative. However; in my missionary work this week I've seen it as such a blessing. Everyone we talk to has said."Wow, this one can talk,eh?" And I've realized it's such a good blessing because once we know that this is really the restored gospel, all we can do is share, to all those that we can see. Because you never know just who needs what you have.            This week we had some service for some investigators and all the people were like oh it's nice white people can work like Fijians and then I talk to them in Fijian. They are way thrown off and then to top it all off I then speak Kiribati to th...

Noqu yaca. Transferred from the roots to the shrub.

This was a crazy week. I've been transferred. I got transferred from nawaka (the root) to nasinu (the shrub). This was the first time I've been way sad to leave. I learned so much from my family in nawaka. They helped me grow and become the missionary that Heavenly Father needs me to be.  Now I'm in nasinu, right next to Suva. My companion is Elda Harding from Niue. It's going to be a really good transfer. I want to share a story that really touched my heart this last week. We found out that I was leaving on Tuesday and left Wednesday. So didn't have a lot of time to say good bye. The first house I went to say goodbye to was the pregnant lady I talked about last week. When we got there we found out that she had giving birth on Monday. We came and met her and found out that she named her  Danele...that's my name! (if you know the movie line you win.) It was way humbling and way cool. It's amazing to see that the restored gospel brought us together a...
