The Grind

This week was a good one very busy and kind of build ups. We had a terrible p-day because our van broke down and we couldn't do anything... we had a quick week because of exchanges its always good to see the way others teach and to help them help you.  We started teaching this guy he's is way cool. He has been in a wheel chair for the past 9 years! We met him by going to give him a blessing. He asked us to come back the next day and then after the lesson he said, "what are you doing tomorrow?" and we came back to his house and the spirit is so strong! It's amazing to know that the Lord loves all of us. It doesn't matter what we are going though God won't stop loving us based on what has happened to us.  I stand as a 5'4" witness that Our Heavenly Father loves all of us. He sent his son so that we can come home. But on Earth now he gives to his children power to overcome any challenge. he throws at us!   I love all of you very muc...

Weeks on weeks!

hello friends and family. i hope this email finds you well! I didn't want to write this but my mother informed me that people would think I was hurt or lost. I am fine and this week was pretty lame. We had zone conference and  found out the district leader has to do lots more.so that is super lit.  This week also Elder McKay got sick so we spent Saturday and Sunday in the flat. Sunday was way good, President Higgins came to our ward. Luckily we had an investigator come to church, and later this month will be baptized into the true church of Jesus Christ. Fingers crossed   I Love you guys.  My heart goes out to the families back home who lost loved ones. Remember my prayers are always with you, And that families can be together FOREVER! This is a truth that I've known all my life. But as a missionary I get to see first hand when people realize that their families will last far far beyond this life. Seeing that in people half way a round the world br...

Long short week.

This week was way good, but way long. We started the week with a good Qito and watermelon. Then the week started slow and hard work but my son and I are getting things done! The week was good and low key stressful. But the Lord qualifies who he calls.  Then on Saturday we went up and did service and we came up and went to the mountains to a cave and we saw some goats. Then all the sudden 50 goats came out of nowhere it was so sick.  Anyways I love you all very much! Stay Strong and Be of Good Courage.  1. Goat Cave  2. @the beach w/ sista D 3. The baby cow coming to church.

So this week was full of stuff... crazy. On P-day it was Elder English's Birthday so... we went to a way nice resort, The Marriot resort! and had his birthday meal. It was awesome because we had a huge meal and then got it discounted because the lady working was a member! It's way awesome to be a missionary in Fiji! However, this week we got some news and things were going to be different. I'm training,  my son's name is Elder Mckay, he's the man. all the way from New Zealand. I'm the district  leader as well so president knows more than I do, so fingers crossed. This Wednesday we had to pick up the new intake so  early morning. However, elda park had to go to Tav early in the morning so I had to pick up the intake all alone. We went to Suva and I got to go around with the elders there and it was amazing to see the people on the other side of the island. The only problem is I rode the bus... We went to dinner and all of people knew me and were call...

Missionary Trainer

THE CHURCH OF  JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS FIJI SUVA MISSION 2-20 LAKEBA ST., SAMABULA, SUVA, FIJI TELEPHONE: (679) 338-8930 – FACSIMILE: (697) 338-8943 30-May 2019 Dear Elder Swallow, One of the highest compliments that can be paid to a missionary in the Fiji Suva Mission is to receive an assignment to train a new missionary. President Monson has taught us that the trainer is the most critical and influential call in a mission. As a result of your diligent missionary work, you have been called to serve as the trainer for Elder McKay. As a trainer you should: • Recognize that your assignment is a sacred trust from the Lord and me. I ask you therefore, to set the highest example of obedience and effective proselyting and to do everything in your power to help your companion begin his mission on a positive note. • Help him adapt to missionary life.  Follow the Missionary Handbook. You should follow the daily schedule diligently so that he can develop th...

You have been selected because of your ability and willingness to accept responsibility and to render service to your fellow missionaries and thereby to your Father in Heaven. This assignment represents a significant trust that you will manage this new stewardship in humility and love.  Your opportunity to influence others has now expanded.  Your responsibility is to influence those in your stewardship to do better. Please re-read the Missionary Leadership section in The Missionary Handbook.
