Don't Worry I'm Still Alive- 1/2/19
My tan lines are all jacked up, I
eat fish every day, and I walk everywhere. But I have never ever been happier!
I know you think I'm just saying that because all missionaries say that. Or
just to keep my parents from freaking out. Both are good reasons however I'm am
extremely happy because I have never been closer to my father in heaven! I've
always known he is there for me and he wants what's best for me; but never have
I been able to appreciate it like I do now.
I had a crazy past couple weeks. With getting to see my family and helping some one I've come to love enter the
waters of baptism. I've really come to know that my Savior loves me! It was Rabi day.
Just back up a couple weeks, on the 15th of December, and it was soo
lit. A week full of laughing and rugby! I wish I could play but I don't want to
embarrass the Rabi boys too much!
We started the next week, with our special
sacrament I hope it was good for you! Ours was me speaking again.... that's
three times since I've been in Rabi. But after my talk the spirit told my heart
a quote from the movie Stitch, it goes," Its little, and broken, but still
good, yeah still good". I know what your thinking that's a backhanded
complement and yeah kind of, but I don't judge the spirit.
We came off island
for Christmas and expected to go to Savusavu, but we stayed in Tukavesi. It was
better because we were able to spend it with an awesome Fijian family! I talked
to my family and was blessed to see all my siblings and my wonderful parents. Lots of tears on both sides. Just a confirmation to me that the bond a family
has no space or time can break!
We returned to Rabi and Boti (boosi) was
interviewed, and found ready for baptism! And as icing on the happy cake she
asked me to baptize her! So on Saturday, we walked into the ocean about waist
high water and she was baptized. Boti is married to our branch president's son
who just barely came to Rabi, and they have a almost 3 moth old daughter! On the
fallowing Sunday she was confirmed a member of the church and never have I been
so grateful for the gospel as to help a family receive the happiness that I've
had and sometimes took for granted!
No matter what we go though there is
nothing we can't do with our Savior walking beside us and he is always with us. If I can baptize some one I taught in Kirabati nothing is impossible. I way
have lost weight (and look super handsome). I may not have power. And even though I
didn't get a present for Christmas. I Know my savior love me, and love you guys
more. I know I love all y'all very much. I thank you for the prayers and
thoughts. and to my mom and dad. I'm safe I promise stop posting on Facebook!
